- Identify, research and prioritise with you: Potential licensees, vertical markets,
and industrial applications.
- Introduce your pre-confidentiality agreement marketing material to key licensee decision-makers.
This is often at Senior Management level. Getting through to key decision-makers
is part of my ... special skill.
- Discuss with target licensees - the degree and nature of their interest, the commercial
opportunity, doubts, concerns, objections. Feedback to you.
- Further engage in dialogue with target licensees to elicit upcoming technology, sales
trends, market drivers, and regulatory issues. This can be invaluable, even critical,
in keeping your technology and commercial roadmap on target!
- Manage the negotiation and signing of your Technology Disclosure Confidentiality
Agreement, liaising with legal representatives of both parties.
- Manage the dissemination of your POST-confidentiality agreement material, follow-up
and re-engage “as per 3 and 4 above”. Determine licensee response, agree next steps,
quantify potential sales and revenue opportunity.
- Facilitate the further liaison with target licensees to close the IPR licensing sale.
This can include for example, handling the Heads of Agreement license contract.
