THE CLIENT

Co-operwrite (My-text) Ltd [new window]
Co-operwrite (My-Text) is a venture capital backed startup developing a new way to “write” into small digital devices (like cell phones and PDA’s) without a keyboard.  The input can be screen finger strokes or using the movement of a miniature joystick.

The invention’s promise is that of intuitive data input both with and without the need for a touch-sensitive screen or substantial processing power.

The invention is in the development stage, with strong pending patents and search reports to potentially underpin a global licensing business model.

In response to changing market conditions, (the shift from joystick phones to smartphones with touch screens), I
advised Co-operwrite to adapt their technology to touch-screen input, which they have very successfully achieved.
Current marketing efforts are now focused on the leading mobile platforms.


THE CLIENT DILEMMA

Like most startups, the client had limited financial resource.  In fact, the technology was so good that I was
able to facilitate venture capital for them.  The funding is being used to take the invention to “market-ready” status while licensing activity is ongoing.
