Proven step-by-step, over-the-shoulder
Provisional Patent Video Course

How To Get A Patent is perhaps the single most crucial issue that inventors need to understand for commercial success, and in broad terms there are two ways to do it:

Using a Patent Attorney

The problem with using a patent attorney is that it costs anywhere from $3,000 – $16,000, depending on the complexity of your invention.  As this is out of the reach of most inventors, what is the best way to get a patent on a budget by doing it yourself?

Doing It Yourself

In the USA, there are two steps to getting a patent yourself:
STEP 1 – file a Provisional Patent Application on the USPTO’s website

STEP 2 – then file a full Patent Application within 1 year

STEP 1

Getting Patent Pending

So first, you file a US Provisional Patent Application.  The United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) have an online system especially set up for this and it typically costs just $130 to do it.  The date on which you file your application is called a priority date, and it is from this date that your invention gets the important patent pending status, which confers three main benefits:

1.  Benefit - LEGAL PROTECTION

Patent Pending allows you to continue to perfect your invention and show it to potential investors, manufacturers, prototype makers, and even customers or licensees, in the knowledge that they cannot steal your intellectual property without violating your legal rights.

2. Benefit - EXTRA YEAR

As you don’t have to file your full patent application for up to a year after your provisional patent application, you can use the extra year to further improve your invention and research your marketing plans.

3. Benefit - BACK-DATED

Once you file your full patent application, it will be backdated to the date of your provisional patent application (this called the priority date). So YOUR patent will take priority over anyone else’s who files a competing patent any time after your provisional patent application.

In other words … time
is of the essence.

So … what’s the best way to learn
how to get a us provisional patent?

Filing your US Provisional Patent Application - CORRECTLY

Filing a US provisional patent application is like many things in life: Reasonably straightforward once you know how, but you do need expert guidance and specific knowledge to do it CORRECTLY.

And be in no doubt – your provisional patent application is an extremely important document. It is the basis upon which the strength of your full patent will rest, so it is crucial to get it right.

Step-By-Step, US Provisional Patent Video Course

So what is the BEST way of learning how to do it?

In my opinion,
by far the best way is to get David Korpi’s How to Get a US Provisional Patent Video Course, which takes you STEP-by-STEP through the process using a series of over-the-shoulder videos.  The course costs $97, but it will be the best $97 you will ever spend as an inventor, and save you literally thousands of dollars.

The great thing about this course is that even if you decide not to file your provisional patent application yourself after all (though you probably will), you’ll get SO much information, you will still save thousands of dollars on patent attorney fees.

Why?  Because, the more information you can give your patent attorney in a patent-ready format, the less work they have to do.

Here is my honest review of the course, but if you want to skip the review and just go straight to the buy page, just click here

COURSE AUTHOR

Dave Korpi, a mechanical and electrical engineer and the author of this course, is a master inventor with many awarded patents. Over his long inventor career, he has worked with some of the most talented patent attorneys around.

Having learnt the “tricks of the trade” from them, and having seen the enormous sums patent attorneys charge for their services, David decided to create a simple-to-follow video course that shows inventors how to get a patent by themselves.

Super-Slick?  No.
One more thing.  The Sales Page is not super-fancy and it is not slick.  You won’t find stunning polished graphics or sexy sliding images designed to wow, and you won’t find professionally written sales text designed to emotionally hook you.

I take great pride in my website, and I am only recommending this video course after speaking to David at length, and personally examining the course in detail.  The sales page reflects the course author: Down to earth, straight talking, a master inventor who has vast patent experience and loves helping fellow inventors.

And just one more thing:

Get your Priority Date -Time is NOT on your side - First to File Law

In the past, the Patent Office awarded a patent to the inventor who came up with the invention first.  This has now changed! The patent is now awarded to the inventor who files the application first!

In other words, time is of the essence.  Do not delay, in case someone gets there before you.
